WHAT'S THE ALBUM SAYING!?: Mynature - It's My Nature

Finally! After months of waiting we 'ere at Cor' Grimey are glad tell you fellow Grime/UK Music fans that the king of the grimeyy refix Mynature's debut album "It's My Nature" has dropped, and thats not the best bit, it's completely FREE! (no illegal downloads out 'ere, download link at the bottom).

The 20 track album is definitely a grimeyy masterpiece with Mynature going 'ardd throughout with his mad lyricism highlighting his talent as an artist. If you've liked Mynature's album preview tracks such as "It's Crazy" and "Around We Go" (which are defo two of the many standout tracks on the album) then you're not going to be disappointed with the other 18 tracks. There's no doubting that the London MC has been generous with this free tape, this is the kind of talent we'd spend money on.

The biggest surprise of the album has to be the 'ardd features. The majority of  tracks released pre-album have been him solo, excluding his collaboration with Ghetts with the "It's Crazy remix" (if you haven't heard it check it out fam!). With the likes of Dot Rotten, Raheem and Smiler on the album its a big look for Mynature having such established UK artists in the scene alongside him for this release.

Like we mentioned earlier 'It's My Nature' has every track going 'arddd but our personal stand out tracks have to be 'Stomach's Talking' featuring Dot Rotten which the London artist spits with his stomach portrayed by Dot Rotten about their conflicting views on getting money and staying on the right track and "Paper" which has Mynature going 'ardd alongside a catchy chorus about his lifestyle.

Another highlight of the tape are Mynature's more deeper tracks such as the "Thoughts" skit which shows him in a more personal light about trying to get away from the streets and focusing on his music, which is a continuous theme throughout the album. End of the day not a lot of artists can go quite as deep and personal on their tracks while staying lyrically consistent, so we 'ere at Cor' Grimey rate Mynature for doing it so effortlessly on his debut album.

Overall it's safe to say that "It's My Nature" was worth the wait and as the man himself says in the 'It's My Nature Intro' - "the reason why I took so long is because they say save the best till last" With a series of sickk features, 'ard tracks and 'arder bars, it feels like an album we have bought from HMV (other music shops are available) as it is such a high quality album. Regardless, this debut album certainly shows off why Mynature is one to watch in the UK scene. Watch this space!
